A nutmeg enterprise in Ron Phibun District: Students learned about the production of various nutmeg products, such as nutmeg juice, thinly sliced sweet and spicy nutmeg, sweet dried nutmeg, dried seeds and mace, and nutmeg spice. They also learned the history of nutmeg cultivation in the village and observed the village’s first nutmeg tree, planted in 1910. Mangosteen SMEs in Kiriwong village, Lansaka District: The visit involved learning about the production processes for mangosteen candy, mangosteen soap and shampoo, mangosteen tie-dye clothes, and mangosteen wine. Students also visited homestays and food and beverage businesses. Learning from Local Experts and SMEs On July 14, 2024 The Department of Economics organised a study excursion for students enrolled in the course 'Economics of Small and Medium Enterprise Management' to visit several SMEs in Nakhon Si Thammarat. The itinerary included: Banana SMEs in Phromkiri District: At Suan Chan Sri l earn i ng cent re , s tudent s observed group activities focused on the production of dried bananas, particularly Cavendish and Lady Finger varieties.
