ง บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ Abstract Independent study Title : Measures to control impact of ecotourism Student's Name : Miss PITTIDA TANCHAROEN Advisory Committee : Assistant Professor Dr. Jidapa Pronying Degree and Program : Master of Laws in Laws Academic Year : 2022 This research aimed to study problems caused by ecotourism businesses in relation to building controls, waste and sewage management, the agencies involved, and concepts, theories, and principles of Thai and foreign laws, in order to establish legal guidelines and measures to control ecotourism affecting natural resources. Qualitative research methods were used in this study consisting of document research, and in-depth interviews. The research found that natural resources were affected by ecotourism factors such as buildings, waste, sewage, tourism activities, and the inefficient ability to accommodate tourist numbers. Despite the enactment of specific laws to control and solve these problems, problems still remain, and over time harm natural resources. For example, Ko Lipe, a popular ecotourism destination, has a noticeable lack of law enforcement and cooperation between communities and responsible agencies, which results in an inability to control the negative effects of ecotourism businesses on natural resources and fails to create sustainable ecotourism, as intended.
