Its purpose is to decrease the risk of adding clauses, which may contradict the printed clauses in the charterparty 11 by altering and improving the use of language used in the old form. The drafters of the NYPE had not changed those clauses which seldom led to the dispute in the interpretation. 12 This version is reflected in some issues caused by the intervening of the judgment of the court. There are some cases which influence the change of content in the latest version. The grace period has amended as one of the results of The Astra 13 . In this case, it was determined that although there was the failure to pay once, it could repudiate the charterparty.
