The NYPE 2015 must itself then be improved if one of the clauses becomes out-of-date because of its particular characteristics. It may lead to the NYPE 2015 quickly becoming obsolete and in need of regular updating ,97 while the single addition rider clause may be easier to update. It should be better to function as a standalone contract in which less rider clauses are required. Additionally, if NYPE 2015 is applied, this also means that several established precedents or some case law may no longer apply, and should be observed with caution. 98 Implementing the new form when there are new and modified clauses may be bound by the review of the arbitration tribunals in London, New York and Singapore. The period of NYPE 2015 is one of the issues of which to be mindful, because it is relatively recently published, on October 15, 2015. Time will show whether NYPE 2015 will be successful or not. Many resembling style revisions to other standard forms of the maritime document in the past year have dropped by the wayside. The shipowner and the charterer may find themselves driven by the factors that influence their decision to apply the new version or not. Such factors are the certainty of law, the influence of financial and commercial interests, the pressure of the market and familiarity with the mechanisms of NYPE 2015.
