42 ฉบับที่ 88/2557 ยังส่งผลให้เกิดการปรับปรุงโครงสร้างสานักงานตารวจแห่งชาติในส่วนองค์ประกอบของ คณะกรรมการนโยบายตารวจแห่งชาติ (ก.ต.ช.) และองค์ประกอบของคณะกรรมการข้าราชการตารวจ (ก.ตร.) รวมถึงการเปลี่ยนกฎเกณฑ์ในการพิจารณาคัดเลือกผู้บัญชาการตารวจแห่งชาติซึ่งกาหนดให้ เป็นไปตามที่ผู้บัญชาการสานักงานตารวจแห่งชาติเสนอชื่อ คาสาคัญ: การปฏิรูป, โครงสร้างองค์กร, ตารวจไทย Abstract The study on Reform of The Royal Thai Police Organization Structure from 2004 to 2021 aims to investigate the development of Thailand's police organization management structure from the introduction of the Buddhist National Police Act 2004 to the efforts to reform police organizations in 2021. With secondary research studies found that Thailand has reformed police organizations 2 periods including phase 1 the Reform of police organization structure under the National Police Act 2004. Essentially, the Thai police organization is a government agency whose position is a juristic entity supervised by the supreme police chief under the command of the Prime Minister. Apart from owning the power to command the police nationwide and being in charge of a Commission of Police Commissions (NEC), the chief is responsible for personnel management directly with the Prime Minister and the National Police Policy Committee (NEC). The second phase of the reform of the police organization starting from 2014 to 2021 which was in accordance with the Provisional Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand 2014 and Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand 2017, which has the essence in term of the establishment of various police organization reform committees and the drafting of a new National Police Act, which is still under the parliamentary scrutiny. In addition, the National Council of Public Order No. 88/2014 resulted in improvements to the structure of the National Police Chiefs' Council (NEC) and the Police Commissioner's Office, as well as changes of the rules for selecting the Police Commissioner, which are required to be nominated by the National Police Chiefs' Council.
