Abstract
This research aimed to study the employment situation of the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics graduates,
who graduated in 2008 academic year. The data were collected from 60 graduates, who attended the graduation
ceremony on January, 5th 2009. The results indicated that most of the graduates have started searching for jobs since
their graduation date. The majority worked in financial and banking sector. Most of them faced with the deficiencies
of job information and job recruitment when searching for jobs. Thus, the department, faculty and university should
provide job information, job-searching skills and working-skill preparation programs for the fourth year students as
to help them prepare themselves and get ready for beginning their careers. Finally, it was evident that computer and
foreign language skills were important for job searching and works, therefore the department of Economics should
support her students to learn more on these two subjects.
