Abstract
This research proposes the feasibility study of an electrical power generation by sea wave energy. Sea
wave energy was one kind of much renewable energy. In this research, we design and implement the mechanical
system which converse amplitude of the sea wave to mechanical energy and use it to drive a generator. The
generator was designed and built for experiment. The type of the generator was permanent magnet generator which
can generate the electrical energy in low speed mode. The output power of generator is 3-phase AC power, it
necessary to rectify to DC power for easily management. From the experiment, an electrical power generation by
sea wave energy can be generate average power not more than 0.5 kW, the system can operate well, low production
cost and proper for community whom house near sea coast and far from grid.
