When flies were raised in laboratory over-decades, fly production gradually decreased each generation resulting in error experimental conclusion. Palmyra palm pulp was used as materi- al instead of crushed corn to increase Drosophila egg production. Objectives : To find a suitable formula and compare Drosophila eggs numbered in the corn mash formula (the original formula) with the Palmyra palm pulp formula. Methods : Raising Drosophila flies in media formulas; control group was the corn formula with 2% yeast. For- mula C1 and C2 had corn with 3% and 4%, respectively. FormulaT1 and T2 had ripe Palmyra palm pulp with 3% and 4%, respectively. Raising 5 pairs of Drosophila flies in each recipe for 10 days, then two pairs of offspring flies were studied by culture in every recipe for 48 hours, 3 replications. Egg numbers were counted and sta- tistically analyzed. Results : Drosophila flies laid eggs in C1, C2, T1 and T2 formula; 74±4.71, 88±6.00, 74±3.73 and 87±7.31 bubbles, respectively which were significantly different ( P <.05) from control group; 44 ± 4.13 bubbles. The maximum spawned formula was C2, but with no statistically difference ( P >.05) with T2 formula. Conclusion : The corn mash formula and the Palmyra palm pulp formula with yeast 4 % can be used to en- hance Drosophila egg production not significantly different ( P >.05). Therefore, both formulas can be used. Keywords: Fruit Fly, Culture Media Formula, Crushed Corn Mash, Ripe Palmyra Palm Pulp, Egg Production
