Abstract
The aim of this study was to develop the abnormal of coaxial cable detection and positioning analysis
system by using traveling wave method. This system consisted of three parts; the first part is pulse signal
generator which provided a pulse signal voltage between 5-12 volts and the width of signal between 200-800 ns.
The second part is a signal receiver by using digital oscilloscope and the last part provided the used of waveform
analysis from digital oscilloscope by using visual basic program. The results of this study is that the system which
has been developed can be detected and analyzed the abnormal position of coaxial cable. It does not over 300
meters with close to the real abnormal position and the error is not over 5 percents.
