Abstract
In this study was estimated the regional soil surface temperature in Southern Thailand, using
meteorological data from 16 meteorological stations in the period 1971-2000 (30 years). The soil surface
temperature was calculated from the five parameters, such as the global solar radiation tilt on the ground surface,
ambient air relative humidity, daily rainfall, ambient air temperature and ratio of monthly sunshine duration and
day length. The multiple regression equation was appropriated to calculate the correlation between global solar
radiation with soil surface soil temperature and meteorological data in Phatthalung province. This calculated
values were plotted the contour mapping of the monthly soil surface temperature in the southern Thailand with the
Surfer versions 6.0 programming. The result of this study was showed that the estimation soil surface temperature
cover with the range of 10

C to 38
o
C. Therefore, the meteorological data were estimated the regional surface
temperature on the local area and predicted its trend in the yearly period.
