Abstract
This research was to develop and to apply the TRNSYS 16.01
®
computer program for simulating the
operation of hybrid solar–wind water pumping system under ambient condition of Phatthalung province. By
comparison the statistical absolute percent error of a model and field testing, we found that a model could showed
results closed to the field testing results. Therefore model could be used for any other areas but the change of
ambient condition inputs, as well as PV type, a wind turbine generator and a water pump were needed. Most of
electrical power was used for charging the battery bank and therefore feeding into the water pumping which was
produced by the PV of 84.32% and produced by the wind turbine generator of 15.68%. The monthly average
pumped water was 1,533 m
3
and the yearly pumped water was 18,396 m
3
.
