Abstract
One of key factors for the software development is the skill of algorithmic thinking. Recently, most of
computer science students lack of this skill. Therefore, they are unable to indicate related components such as
inputs, processing, outputs and program control structures to make a proper algorithm to solve each problem. In
this study we purpose a support system in a graphical interactive environment for acquiring algorithmic thinking
skill. Students must design program flowchart to present their solution. The system shows step by step of how to
convert their program flowchart to the compatible pseudo code that helps students to refer the relation between
these different styles to present the same algorithm. This system was preliminary assessed using a questionnaire
