Abstract
Migration of people from the southern border provinces of Thailand to Malaysia has been traditionally
practiced for ages. This is because the relationship between spatial, the relationship of people in history and social as
well as political many hundred years since Sukhothai Kingdom until now. This study divided to three periods of time:
the first period, before 1909. The second period is from 1909 to 1956 (before Malaysia gained independence from
Britain) and the third period is from 1957 to 2009. Differences of time, places and activities cause pattern of migration
of each period.
