Abstract
The objective of this research was to study the ecotourism motive of visitors to Hat Khanom – Mu Ko
Thale Tai National Park and the factors influencing on the ecotourism such as personality and ecotourism
activities. The sample sizes of 380 questionnaires were used to gather data for this study. The respondents were
selected by their experiences of ecotourism motive. Data analysis techniques are percentage, mean, t-test, and one
way ANOVA.
Results of the study, found that most of respondents from visitors were shown as follows: ecotourism
activity were photograph and sightseeing but cycling was the least activity. Ecotourism motive are they can travel
without destroying natural resource. Incentive to select attractions were source difficult and risky for adventure, a
peaceful retreat far from the people, an attractive new services travel, a variety of tourist activities. The least
important factors when deciding attractions were a source for relaxation and calm and facilities. Besides
relationships of personal factors that influence participation in ecological tourism to Hat Khanom – Mu Ko Thale
Tai National Park are gender, age, professional status, education level, income and housing were not different at
statistically significant levels 0.05. It found that the male was more than women. Age group was from 15 to 34
years. Most people travel with family. Education level was primary education. Most professional occupation were
staff, employees, private business and students respective. Average income was 4,000 to 8,000 baht and become a
local people.
