Abstract
Comparative studies on
the monoculture and polyculture of Sea bass (
Lates Calcarifer)
for price risk
reducing of fisherman group ,Thombol Bohin, Ampher Sikao, Trang Province was done by cultured in case size
3x3x2 m
3
. and 2 patterns. The monoculture of Sea bass (
Lates calcarifer)
in which stocking density
of
Sea
bass
(Lates calcarifer)
was 500
fishes per cage
and
Polyculture of
Sea bass
(Lates calcarifer),
Grouper
(Epinephelus malabaricus)
, Oyster
(Crassostrea belcheri)
and Green mussel (
Perna viridis)
Linnaeus,
1758 in which stocking density was 200 fishes : 200 fishes : 500 molluses : 15 kg. respectively. After 6 months,
the resulted found that average survival rate of treatment 1 (monoculture) was 76.5%. The cost analyze showed
that total cost was 80,360.00 baht , total profit was 41,991.40 baht (52.60%) and average survival rate of
treatment 2 (polyculture) was 74.50 ,77.50, 82.50 and 87.5% , total cost was 75.464 baht , profit was 11,368.40,
6,724.00, 10,756.00 and 2,750.00 (total profit was 31, 599 baht ) (41. 88 %). The resulted showed that integrate
of Sea bass (
Lates calacarifer)
for 6 months had a total profit less than monoculture. However polyculture
of
Sea
bass
( Lates carcarifer)
has a low price risk less than monoculture.
