Abstract
The specific activities of natural radionuclides (
40
K,

Ra and

Th) in 90 beach sand samples
collected from Chalatat (30), Samila (30) and Sai Kaew (30) beaches in Songkhla province in southern
region of Thailand, have been measured and analyzed. It was found that the specific activities of
40
K,
226
Ra
and
232
Th ranged from 145.51 – 4574.12,ǰ6.99 – 451.87ǰand 9.13 –ǰ655.76 Bq/kg and the average values of
808.96

compared with the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP) annual report data, Thailand and global radioactivity
