ONCLUSIONS
The H
2
/
CO ratio in the synthesis gas varied from air
and air/steam was 0.5 to 0.8. Production of hydrogen
from the biomass gasification process is another
alternative. In this research, an experimental investigation
of a downdraft gasifier using air/steam rice husk-glycerol
briquette under various operating conditions, producing a
hydrogen syngas with a high calorific value in the range
of 4.2-4.9 MJ/m
3
, the hydrogen yield in the range of 3-
17%.
The gasifier conversion efficiency was 44-49% and the
gasifier using air agent, rice husk-glycerol briquette under
various operating conditions, producing a hydrogen
syngas with a high calorific value in the range of 4.1-4.9
MJ/m
3
, the hydrogen yield in the range of 1-18% and the
gasifier conversion efficiency was 42-49%.
The gasifier power generation system consumed
biomass fuel at around 50 kg/h or 5 kg/kWh. Gasifier can
generate gas at around 74.5 m
3
/h. The composition of the
product gas, i.e., CO, CO
2
and H
2
were lower when the air
was used as a gasifying agent. The heating of the product
gas using air as a gasifying agent was also lower
compared to the use of steam as a gasifying agent. Using
the steam as the gasifying agent, the gas compositions
were composed of CO
2
approx 14-20%Vol., and CO
approx 3-26%Vol. While using the steam as gasifying
agent, CO was 8-16%Vol., and CO
2
was 0-21%Vol. The
efficiency conversion efficiency and heating production
was relatively low from the gasifier production supplies
of biomass performance appropriate was 70-75% [11,
13].
