Abstract
The research objective was to assess needs on teaching professional practicum of teacher
students in the three southernmost provinces. The samples in quantitative data collection were 580
teacher students and the key performances in qualitative data collection were 27 teacher students
from faculty of education, Prince of Songkla University Pattani campus, YalaRajabhat University, and
Institute of Physical Education Yala.The research instruments were the needs assessment and the semi-
structure interview formson teaching professional practicum. The results showed that the students'
needs on the issue of allocation of time doing classroom research consultancy in the highest. The
second were the provision support teaching facilities or equipment for the professional practicum. It
could be seen from the PNI

highest in the top three, which is consistent with the qualitative data
collection with comments on some issues that need to rectify such knowledge of classroom research
from mentor teachers,the support of school director, or the supervisor's supervisor.
