Abstract
In this investigation, synthesis new dinuclear Cu (II) complexes, [Cu(H
2
O)(HSal)
2
]
2
Hsal.Ben
has
been synthesized and characterized by various techniques.
Single crystal X-ray diffraction revealed
that,
crystal system is Monoclinic and the copper(II) atom coordination by four oxygen atoms of HSal
and the apical position is occupied by a water molecule. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy were
use to confirm functional group of complexes.
The ultraviolet visible spectrums of complex at

237, 301 nm region can be assigned to the

be assigned to the d-d transition.
The thermogravimetry analysis results showed the decomposition of
the complex occurs in three steps.
The antibacterial activities of the complex was investigated on gram
positive bacteria and gram negative bacteria was
more affected on Gram-positive bacteria than Gram-
negative bacteria
.
