Abstract
The study of the Ways and the Power of Papayom Community in Pattalung
was aimed at studying the way of life and capability or potentiality of populations in
Papayom community in uarious aspects. The research procedure were to study from
related literatures, to collect the field data, to observe, and to interview from the
subjects of this research
The result was revealed that the Ways and the Power of Papuyom Community
were categorized into different aspects. In political ways and power, it was found that
the populations in Papayom have conscience, perceive the importance of political
participation, and pay respect to the leader and politicians of the local community.
These were affected from the historical basis resulted to the localism and the idea that
politics play a vital role in developing locality. For economic ways and power, the
study’s result indicated that the populations in Papayom community have their own
economic basis. Their agricultural products’ procedure was sufficient to support their
lives as they were the owner of the products’ factors and the areas’ conditions were
bountiful. In the social ways and power’ the populations in Papayom community
adhered in a relation or family system. They highly pay respect to the seniors and the
community’s leader. These were followed by people from the past until now and these
also strengthened the socially structural system of the community. In the cultural ways
and power, it was revealed by the research that the populations there had several
traditions which showed their cultural strength causing the ways and the power of
unity and gratitude. For the ways and the power of health. Sanitation, and food, the
study was shown that the populations had their local knowledge and wisdom in
remeding or curing diseases and strengthening their health by their cultural eating and
