Abstract
The objectives of this research were to develop a plan to conduct learning by means of community
learning sources through a historical method and historical evidence, and to compare the learning achievement of
students of secondary grade 1 before and after learning by the said conduct of learning. The sample, by means of
purposive sampling employed by the researcher, consisted of 35 students of secondary grade 1 of Sambaw
Wittaya School, Ranoat District, Songkhla Province, in the 2008 academic year, who were taught for 20 periods.
The research instruments were a learning plan of the above description consisting of four learning units, and a
30-item test of learning achievement. The statistics for the data analysis were mean value, standard deviation
value, difficulty value, discrimination value, a test reliability value of 0.802, a correspondence index value of
1.00 between the learning plan, test items, and expected learning outcome. The t-test statistic was used for
hypothesis testing.
The research findings were as follows.
1. The development of the said learning plan resulted in an appropriate learning plan in accordance
with Section 4 of the Conduct of Learning as prescribed by the National Education Act of B.E. 2542 (1999 A.D.),
amended as Version 2 of B.E. 2545 (2002 A.D.).
2. The students’ achievement after the said conduct of learning was higher than before it at the .01
level of statistical significance.
