follows. Regarding the training provision, it was found that most of the worker have attended the primary training
programs provided by their employers at the beginning of their working period. A 1-day annual training was also
provided for the workers. The results of chi-square tests on the relationship between the workers’ personalities and
the characteristics of the training programs at the 0.05 statistical level can be summarized as follows. Firstly, it
was found that the workers’ educational levels, job positions, labor categories and employment conditions were
the factors relating to the training programs
being provided to the labor at the beginning of their working duration.
Secondly, age, married status, educational level, salary, job position and labor categories of the workers were the
factors relating to the number of training programs that the workers have attended annually. Thirdly, married
status, educational level, position, labor categories and employment conditions of the workers related to an
average training duration. It was evident that the demand for skill-training was very high. The employees
interested in the training programs that improve their personality, foreign language, computer and academic skills,
respectively. The interested training programs of the workers varied according to their sex, married status,
educational level, the number of children, salary, working position, types of work, working experience and
working conditions.
