Abstract
The results of conducting tourism program for a participatory learning of students are as the
following. Television is the most source of information used by tourists. Other media sources used by tourists
are billboards, friends, television, radio, pamphlets, magazines, books and internets. Local wisdom of Baan Nai-
torn community has been maintained together with rehabilitation of mangrove forest. This has been done
through setting up code of conduct for the community to follow in order to conserve and rehabilitate mangrove
forest in the community, providing knowledge to people in the community and starting developing the area as
conservation tourism. The community realizes the precious value of mangrove forest. For local wisdom
conservation of Manohra dance drama of Ban Kok-Sabaa sub-district, many people and groups have stopped
performing the dance drama due to the aging or doing other jobs. However, it has been continuously passed
down to their descendants. At present, there are eight groups of Manohra dance dramas. The highest number of
tourists would like to visit the real tourism site. Some of them prefer to hear lectures from experts in the
community, see the community’s performance and demonstration, practice and participate in the community’s
activities including reading information from the pamphlets respectively. This is because visiting a real place
helps tourists to deeply understand the real living condition and local wisdom of the community-based tourism
more than other methods as well as enjoying tourism activities. Tourists are satisfied at the highest level with 2-
day tourist schedule or 53.1 percent. For tourists’ impression on tourism site, the highest number of tourists is
impressed by Manohra training in each house within the community. The second place is visiting mangrove
forest of Baan Nai-torn community. For tourism activities, it has been found that the highest number of tourists
is satisfied with Manohra training place within the community. The second and third places are seeing Manohra
dance drama and sailing in boats to study mangrove environments respectively. For satisfaction of local food in
the community, it has been found that the highest number of tourists is satisfied with local food of Baan Nai-
torn community. The second and third places are local snack and local food of Ban Kok-Sabaa community
respectively. For tourists’ impression on welcoming atmosphere and lecture conducted by the community, it has
been found that the highest number of tourists is satisfied with presentation of Baan Nai-torn tourist guide. The
second place is the presentation of Ban Kok-Sabaa tourist guide. The highest number of tourists is satisfied with
2-day tourist schedule or 56.3 percent. The high number of tourists that is satisfied with schedule is 34.4
percent.
