Abstract
This study aims to look into types, production managements, production costs, and incomes of the
socio-economic status of rubber-fruit tree farming systems in Tambon Kaopra, Amphoe Rattapoom, Changwat
Songkhla. The instruments of structured interviews were used for data collection from the sample group of 128
households. The results of the study could classify types of rubber-fruit tree farming systems into 4 systems that
were 1) 16.41% of rubber with 1 type of fruit tree farming system (R1), 2) 18.75% of rubber with 2 types of
fruit tree farming system (R2), 3) 27.34% of rubber with 3 types of fruit tree farming system (R3) and 4) 37.50%
of rubber with more than 3 types of fruit tree farming system (R4). For production managements, the study
indicated that there was no difference among those. For production costs, the study found that the farming
system of rubber – longkong - durian (R21) would give maximum net profit at 18,292.23 baht/rai/year followed
by rubber - durian (R12) at 15,040.98 baht/rai/year, and rubber - longkong - mangosteen (R 22) at 13,673.54
baht/rai/year, respectively. The study suggested that farming system should develop production system in order
to reduce risk and labors with appropriate techniques. Building strong group process will help farmers to
acheive the objectives of farming.
