Abstract
Study of diversity of bacteria and actinomycetes in pelleted organic fertilizer from biofertilizer
plant at Takam subdistrict administrative organization, Hat Yai district, Songkhla province by comparing
between the culture-dependent technique and 16S rRNA clone library analysis technique. The results
of culture-dependent method were found Gram positive rod shape bacteria which were thermoduric or
thermophilic actinomycetes. Although the results from two techniques did not correlate, this may be due
to some limitations of each techniques. However, the result of two techniques were found more diversity
of bacteria and actinomycetes than only use one technique. Therefore, the results from this study can be
beneficial not only for obtaining the microbial biodiversity data from organic fertilizer production but also
can be exploited for the development of the bio-organic fertilizer production processes in the future.
