Abstract
The purposes of this research were : 1) to develop the 4 MAT lesson plans on “Fraction” in
Mathematic learning Substance group for grade 4 Students. 2) to compare the pre – test achievement scores
with post - test of students learned through the 4 MAT teaching model. 3) to compare post - test
achievement scores of students 4 MAT teaching model group with criterion 80 % 4) to study student’s
attitude towards Mathemstics after learning through the 4 MAT teaching model.
The study samples were selected by purposive sampling technique. There were 27 grade 4
students in the first semester of 2008 academic year at Banpakphreag school, Amphoe Bangkhan
Nakhonsithammarat Province.The research instruments consisted of the 4 MAT lesson plans , the
achievement tests and the attitude test. The data were analyzed by percentage , mean , standard deviation
and paired t – test.
The research results were :
1. The effectiveness of the 4 MAT lesson plans on Fraction in Mathematic learning Substance
group for grade 4 students was 86.81/84.44
2. The post-test achievement scores on Fractions in Mathematic learning Substance group of
students in the 4 MAT teaching model group was significantly higher than the pretest at the .05 level.
3. The achievement of student after learning through the 4 MAT teaching model on Fraction in
Mathemstic learning Substance Group 4 MAT was 84.44%. It met the stated criterion 80 %.
4. The attitude of students toward Mathematic after learning through the 4 MAT teaching model
was at good level with mean score of 4.16
