บทคัดย่ อ
การศึกษาการกระจายป่าเสม็ดบริเวณทะเลสาบสงขลา โดยใช้ภาพถ่ายดาวเทียม SPOT ร่วมกับการเก็บข้อมูล
ภาคสนามซึ่งผู้ วิจัยได้จั ดทาแผนที่แสดงการกระจายของเสม็ดบริ เวณทะเลสาบสงขลาและพื้นที่โดยรอบ โดย กาหนด
ขอบเขตทะเลสาบสงขลาและจั ดทาแนวขอบเขตและนาเข้าข้อมู ลภาพถ่ายดาวเทียม ปี พ.ศ. 2549-2550 และภาพถ่ายทาง
อากาศเพื่อแปลความอาศั ยข้ อมูลจากแผนที่ ภูมิประเทศของกรมแผนที่ทหาร แผนที่แสดงการใช้ประโยชน์ ที่ดินบริเวณ
ทะเลสาบสงขลาและ/พื้ นที่โดยรอบ และข้อมูลที่ ได้จากภาคสนามประกอบทาให้ได้แผนที่ต้นร่าง ตรวจสอบข้ อมูล
ภาคสนามและปรับแก้ข้อผิดพลาดเพื่อความถูกต้องของข้ อมูล
ป่ าเสม็ดที่ พบในพื้นที่ ศึกษาทั้ งหมดประมาณ 37,000 ไร่ พบในจั งหวัดพัทลุงมากที่สุ ดประมาณ 21,900 ไร่
และจั งหวัดสงขลาประมาณ 15,000 ไร่ ในพื้นที่ศึกษาพบเสม็ดแดง 0.0625 ไร่ ในพื้นที่ตาบลเกาะนางคา อาเภอปาก
พะยูน จังหวัดพัทลุงเพียงแห่ งเดียว
ผลการศึกษาครั้งนี้ใช้ เป็นแนวทางในการศึกษาเสม็ดด้านอื่ นๆ รวมทั้งเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการจัดการวางแผน
ด้านต่างๆ ทั้งด้านการท่องเที่ยว นกน้า การสนับสนุนให้ประชาชนใช้ประโยชน์จากไม้เสม็ ด และการอนุรักษ์เสม็ดต่ อไป

Abstract
This is a study distribution of Melaleuca forests around Songkhla lake. The study utilized Satellite Image
in combination with field data. The researcher has mapped the distribution areas of Melaleuca around Songkhla
lake. For interpretation, the information was incorporated with Satellite Image taken in 2006 and 2007, a aerial photo
topographical map and a land utilization map for Songkhla lake and its peripheries. Both the maps and the
information from the field form a drafted distribution map of Melaeuca in the area under study. The drafted map
was verified with data from the field and improvement made.
The Melaeuca forests cover 37,000 rais of land area, where 21,900 rais of the forests are in Phatthalung
Province and 15,000 rais are in Songkhla Province. In the area studied, Syzygium gratum (Wight) S.N. Mitra
var.gratum species was found 0.0625 rai only in the area of Tambon Koh Nang Kam, Pakpayoon District,
Phatthalung Province. The findings of the study can be used as a guideline for the study on other aspects of
Melaeuca forests, including the planning and management of tourisms, water birds, public utilization and
conservation of Melaeuca forests.
