Abstract
New approach for web application development is web service technology. Web service is software
component that can process data from requested application. Web application programmer will compose all
components to be completed application. It reduces time and development processes.
For Thaksin University, we have a lot of departments. Each department has web application that has
personnel functions such as personnel data query, statistics of personnel data. Programmers of departments
develop all web applications by coding programs that connect to database and show relevant data to web site.
Working of each programmer is similar. It is duplication and uses a lot of time in development. For this problem,
we did this research.
In research, we developed web service for personnel data processing that involved personnel profile,
vacation, education history, research, working history and all statistic data used in department. Moreover, we
developed web application’s prototype following our web application’s analysis and design. Afterward web
service was tested by programmers. They wrote complete function in prototype by calling web service. In this
process, there were 15 programmers.
For evaluation of the requested web service questionnaires were used. The questionnaires were assessed
by 15 programmers. The values of the means and standard deviation were found to be 4.51 and 0.57 respectively.
The results indicated that web service for personnel data processing at Thaksin University has efficiency at a very
good level.

การติดตอสื่ อสารขอมูลบนเครือขายอินเทอรเน็ ตนับวาเป นสิ่งจําเป นอย างยิ่ง ไมวาจะเปนการสื่ อสาร
ระหว างลูกคาหรื อผู รับบริ การกับองค กรหรือระหว างองคกรกับองค กร ซึ่งทําใหองค กรตางๆต องมีเว็บไซต
ระบบงานประยุกตผานเว็บไวคอยบริ การขอมูลกับผูใช เชนโปรแกรมระบบสั่งซื้อสินคาผานเว็บ ระบบงานเอกสาร
