Abstract
The objective of this study was to monitoring mangrove forest after tsunami disaster at Koh Kho
Khao, changwat Phang Nga by public participation
This study use method of focus group and questionnaires by random sampling in 2 village at Koh
Kho Khao who are utilization of mangrove forest for compare fertile mangrove forest before and after
tsunami disaster, the problem of utilization mangrove forest, level of participation of mangrove forest
management and find indicator for monitoring fertile mangrove forest
The result showed that fertile mangrove forest after tsunami disaster is become lower especially
area and type of mangrove so affect to problem of utilization of fishery. Participatory of mangrove forest
management in this village is quite good
The result from questionnaires that propose Indicators for monitoring fertile mangrove forest
village 1 to propose bio-indicator 100% area indicator 84% and activity for conservation mangrove forest
74% village 2 to propose bio-indicator 93% activity for conservation mangrove forest 87% and area
indicator 80%
