บทคัดย่ อ
การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนาในนักเรี ยนชัÊ นประถมศึกษาปี ทีÉ 6 โรงเรียนบ้านหมากแข้ง จังหวัดอุดรธานี อายุ 10 – 13 ปี
จํานวน 75 คน วัดความรู้เกีÉ ยวกับฟันโดยใช้แบบทดสอบซึÉ งเป็ นภาพฟันผุและฟันไม่ผุจํานวน 10 รู ป หลังจากนัÊ นให้
นักเรี ยนตรวจฟันด้วยตนเองโดยใช้กระจก และบันทึกผลการตรวจฟั นแท้แต่ละซีÉจํานวน 24 ซีÉ ในแบบบันทึกการตรวจ
ฟัน พบว่ านักเรี ยนได้คะแนนความรู้ เรืÉองฟันเฉลีÉย 4.4 + 1.8 คะแนน (ร้ อยละ 43.6) คะแนนความสามารถในการตรวจ
ฟั นด้วยตนเองเฉลีÉ ย 19.4 + 4.9 คะแนน (ร้อยละ 80.9) และความสามารถในการตรวจฟันผุ เฉลีÉยร้ อยละ 19.4 เมืÉอ
วิเคราะห์โดยใช้สั มประสิ ทธิÍ สหสัมพันธ์เพียร์สั นพบว่า ความรู้เรืÉ องฟันไม่ มีความสัมพันธ์กับความสามารถในการตรวจ
ฟั น (p = 0.570) และความสามารถในการตรวจฟันผุ ด้วยตนเอง (p = 0.205) ดังนัÊ นนักเรี ยนชัÊนประถมศึกษาปี ทีÉ 6
มีความรู้เรืÉ องฟัน และความสามารถในการตรวจฟั นผุด้วยตนเองไม่เพียงพอสําหรับการตรวจฟั นด้วยตนเอง

Abstract
Descriptive study of 75 sixth grade students, 10 - 13 years of age, at the Banmarkkhaeng School, Udonthani
Province. Ten pictures of carious and noncarious teeth were used in a questionnaire to test the dental knowledge.
Then, the students performed a self dental examination on 24 permanent teeth by using mirrors and recorded their
findings on the dental record form. The average dental knowledge score was 4.4 + 1.8 (43.6%). On the contrary, the
average ability score of self dental examination was 19.4 + 4.9 (80.9%). And also, the average ability to define carious
teeth was 19.4%. Using Pearson Correlation Coefficient, the dental knowledge did not correlate with the self dental
examination ability (p = 0.570) and the ability to define carious teeth (p = 0.205). So, the sixth grade students did not
have sufficient dental knowledge and ability to detect dental caries to perform self dental examination.
