Abstract
This study aim to prepare lime pectin film for wound healing application. Lime pectin of 10-20%w/w
with 10%w/w glycerin as plasticizer was prepared to establish the pectin film, with average thickness of 1.53±0.09
mm, which 2x2 sq. cm. film weighed 0.0465 ± 0.0049 g, with clear slightly yellow to colorless flexible. The film
was stable in normal condition. But in the accelerated condition, it was less flexible and more brittle. The pectin
films were tested on mice’s skin. The wounds’ length on the pectin treated side were shorter 3.3±1.2% than the
originated one, and reduce significantly more than the controlled untreated with pectin film side with 95%
confident.
