attitude. One hundred ninety seven samples were drawn from health care workers in Nakorn Srithammarat
province by two-stage random sampling. Health care workers attitude questionnaire was developed by
researcher consisting of two parts: 1) demographic data and 2) attitude towards transferring PCU to SAO.
Content validity index of the questionnaire was 0.93 and cronbach alpha’s coefficient was 0.94. The results
were as follows: 1) The level of health care worker attitude towards transferring PCU to SAO was medium for
the total score (

= 3.18, SD = 0.67) and ranging from 3.04 to 3.28 among the six dimensions: primary
health care service (

= 3.04, SD = 0.77), personnel management (

= 3.05, SD = 0.77), budget
management (

= 3.16, SD = 0.78), policy and general administration (

= 3.23, SD = 0.69), disease
control (
X
= 3.25, SD = 0.82), and sanitation (

= 3.28, SD=0.82). 2) There were 3 predictors estimating
the attitude towards transferring PCU to SAO: age, regular meeting with SAO officer, and participating in
health problem solving plan with SAO officer. Those could predict about 13% (R

= 0.13) of the health care
worker attitude towards transferring PCU to SAO.
