Experimental Results
The fixed RFID reader model Mercury 6 which is the product from Thing Magic has been used. Its
operating frequency is 865- 928 MHz. The EPCGlobal UHF Class 1 Gen 2 is the air interface protocol,
reading rate is over 750 tags/second, maximum read distance able be up to 9 meters and transmit power
can be more than 31.5 dB. The Mercury 6 can be connected with the 4 antennas. In this paper, the circular
polarity panel antennas have been used. Those has the gain is 6 dBiC and its power is 2 Watts.
In the experiment, the installation of tags has been mounted as the Figure 3(b). Then, the
motorcycle will be passed the stand which were installed the reader like Figure 4 and Figure 5. It must be
tested with the different speeds which are 40 km/h, 60 km/h and 80 km/h and at two width distances
from footbath 4 and 8 m respectively. Therefore, the tested situations were opposed to 3 cases. Firstly,
the both tags will be passed the reader at 4 and 8 m from footbath. Secondary, only the bike tag passed
the reader at 4 and 8 m from footbath and finally, only the key tag passed the reader at 4 and 8 meter
from footbath. Each case of situation will be observed for five times. The experimental result is presented
in the Table 1 - Table 6.
