Abstract
The aim of this study were 1) to develop instructional packages in reflection light 2) to study the
development of student’ conception on reflection of light and 3) to compare learning achievement between
pretest and posttest scores by using instructional packages in reflection light. The target group was 8 students
from Mathayomsuksa 5, Khaodinprachanukul School, Krabi province whose studying in the second semester of
2009 academic year. The instruments used in this study were the instructional packages in reflection light, the
lesson planes of the reflection light and, the achievement test and the interview form. The data were analyzed into
the average percentage, standard deviation, t-test and normalized gain. The result showed that the instructional
packages for developing student’s conception in reflection light was efficient against the 75/75 standard. After
used the instructional packages, the achievement posttest score were significantly higher than those of the pretest
score at the significant level .01. The class average normalized gain is in the medium gain <g> = 0.61 which 37.5
student percentages got normalized gain in high gain and 62.5 student percentages got normalized gain in medium
gain. The percentage of developed achievement score was 78.57 and a standard deviation was 2.45. So these
results show that using instructional packages, can be used to develop student’s conceptions of reflection light.
Moreover, from the interview, most students satisfy with learning using this instructional packages, as it consist of
experimental activities, own learning activities and exercises. These activities let students learning by themselves
and do experiment for studying reflection light theory. Students participated in discussion and sharing their ideas
together so learning climate was more happiness.
