CONCLUSIONS
Theta powers from frontal and parietal cortices were increased by ethanol withdrawal. Treatment with the MS
alkaloid extract at 60 mg/kg was found to reverse the increase of these theta powers. These findings suggest therapeutic
potential of this plant for treatment of alcoholism.
