To produce mud-dyed and naturally-dyed fabric.This ancient dyeing process is the
result of local wisdom handed down from the past. Mud-dyed fabrics are soft and comfortable.
The domestic production of cotton yarns, with the widely use of ancient local tools, begins with
harvesting cotton, seperating cotton seeds from cotton fiber by using ew (an ancient tool for doing so),
fluffing cotton, spinning cotton thread, and collecting cotton thread ready for weaving.
To manage the operation and the production of Ban Nong Buadang Women's
Co-operative Guild, tasks are appropriately delegated to each individual member according
to her particular expertise under the supervision of the group leader of each village. training
courses are offered to the members. They are then exposed to innovative ideas, and knowledge
which can lead to life-long development, the integrity and self sustenance of local community.
To promote the values of the products in order to be widely recognized, Ban Nong Buadang
Women's Co-operative Guild succeeds in creating their own renowned strong identity,
differing from any other weaving guilds, that is mud-dyed ancient sarong, and naturally-dyed cotton.
100% pure cotton fabrics, and natural dyes from local plants can ensure that they are safe to wear and
thus can create income for the group.The production and management system can be considered
as a role model for other communities, and also as learning center for the community,
academic institutions, and interested people. This can in turn result in the endless transference
of the social culture.
