Abstract
A development of indicators for teaching evaluation of the teachers at Thaksin university
research has purpose for developing the indicators for teaching evaluation of the teachers at Thaksin
university. Research and development methodology (R&D) was used in this research process. 1) Survey
research about teaching attributes of the teachers, the critical incident technique was used in this step. 2)
Determining the indicators for teaching evaluation by qualitative analysis and synthesis from the data
in the first step. 3) An examine the indicators qualities- the suitability, feasibility and reliability. 4) The
indicators tryout by evaluative practicum to determine the factors of teaching evaluation variables by
factor analysis, the participants were the 1,901 students of Thaksin university, 2006 and 2007
academic years.
The research results were summarized as the indicators for teaching evaluation of the teachers
at Thaksin university have the suitability, feasibility and reliability according to the criteria (reliability
coefficient =0.984). All the 79 indicators were discriminated to the 13 factors as 1) professional
factor 2) teaching skills factor 3) guidance factor 4) teacher’ s attributes factor 5) teaching methods
factor 6) teaching preparing factor 7) knowledge using factor 8) personality controlling factor
9) punctual on time factor 10) friendliness factor 11) unforced factor 12) time checking factor
and 13) variously experiences factor . The principal factor was the professional factor.
