storage in the concrete about 7,700 refiguring ton, which
is the electricity cost about 26,000 baht ever day. This
building will not turn off the air conditional system, but
will operated equal the heat gain around the night. Total
heat gain in the night was about 425 refrigerant ton which
is the electricity cost about 1,600 baht per night. This
concept will be reduce the electricity demand about 18
times

HE REDUCING OF THE ELECTRICITY FROM
L
IGHTING
The reducing of the electricity demand from the using
of day lighting and integrated the high efficiency of
artificial lighting. The applying of the day lighting in the
building was using the indirect light. The main used in
this project was in the atrium and office area.
A. The Applying of the Day Lighting in the Atrium
The roof above the atrium was designed like a saw-
tooth which had the glazing in the north direction. The
day lighting from the north, that is the high performance,
will reflect from the next roof which is metal sheet, pass
the laminated glass like the clear stories and reflected at
the ceiling then diffused to the atrium.
From this design, the designer proposed that the day
lighting will be 500 lux. But, the on-site investigation
show that this atrium can used the day lighting about 700-
1,000 lux

B. The Applying of the Day Lighting in The Office Area
The day lighting in this space was from the external
through the air-flow window, the day
lighting will
reflected the venetian blind and the ceiling to this space.
In the other side was used the day lighting reflected on
the roof-slab before passed the glazing into the building,
after that, the day lighting will reflected the ceiling to
differed to the office area though the void.
By using this technique, the designer can designed the
40 m thickness of office area which used the day lighting
efficiently and proposed the using of day-lighting in this
area around 150-200 lux.

C. The Integrated of Day Lighting and Artificial Lighting
This technique was suppurated the artificial lighting
circuit parallel the glazing. When the day lighting at the
zone inner the building was lower, the user can turn on
the artificial lighting at the zone particularly, do not turn
on all of the area.
