Abstract
The purpose of the study is to investigate error types in Thai writing on a word usage, sentence
structural patterns, writing patterns of the first year undergraduate students in Rajamangala University of
Technology Srivijaya, Songkhla of Academic Year 2008. The research questionnaires were distributed to 135
samples, and the results can be summarized as follows:
The error types in Thai writing ranked from the most to the least degrees are word usage, sentence
structural patterns and writing patterns.
