Abstract
The main objective of this research is motivation of and factors affecting to motivation level of Thai army
working in the three southern border provinces. The sample 420 Thai army working in the three southern border
provinces. The study is stratified random by use questionnaires for research tools. The research is found the
motivation level of Thai army working in the three southern border provincse is medium level (

= 3.340) and rank,
age, number of family members, official time, expenditure per month and liability have the affecting to motivation
level of Thai army working in border provinces. Which the low rank of Thai army has motivation lower then high
rank. Thai army has number of family member and little official time is the motivation level lower then Thai army has
number of family and high official time. The expenditure per month, however, is increased to make the motivation
level of Thai army is decreased.
