Abstract
The objectives of this action research are to develop ethic learning activities for
the youth, and to study the learning achievements of the youth, as well as conditions
and factors contributing and/or obstructing the process. The research is composed of
thirty volunteers from Prachabumrung School , Tambon Tamot, Amphoe Tamot,
Changwat Phattalung
The qualitative research methods are comprised of participant observations ,
focus group and interviews. The quantitative research methods include an achievement
test, and a questionnaire with t-test analysis.
The development of twelve ethic learning activities are derived from the core
members of Tamot Temple Council and its community who were also the activity
organizers. The activities are: open-mindness, learning about oneself, tension
management , happiness , patience, friendship and relationship, harmony ,gratitude,
creativity , power of life, caring of the environment and simplicity.
Certain levels of change are found in the student’s attitudes and behavior.
Contributive factor is the active involvement of the organizers. Although the core-team
member had time constraints due to their community and household obligation, they
were active to organize the activities. The youth limitation are related to there time
constraints.
