ABSTRACT
Developing healthy child care centers is in accordance with the concept of healthy town and healthy
community. It is a significant basis of upgrading the quality of life and being of all early childhood children at
child care centers to have good quality of life and to stay with equality at the healthy child care centers. The
children receive proper promotion of Developments and creative thinking. The purpose of this study was to
examine the outcomes of on application of Demming's PDCA cycle and appreciation influence control (AIC)
planning in developing child care centers leading to standards of healthy child care centers in the area of
Amphoe Mueang, Changwat Sakon Nakhon. The sample consisted of people involved in developing child care
centers: presidents of tambon administrative organizations, child care centers committees, educational
academics at tambon administrative organizations, public health officials, children's mentors at child care
centers, and parents. They were divided into 2 groups : an experimental group of 63 subjects to Ban Phang
Khwang Child Care Center and a comparison group of 63 subjects at Ban Thap So Child Care Center, obtained
using the simple random sampling technique. The experimental group received the Demming's PDCA cycle
application program and appreciation influence control (AIC) planning by using the workshop training
according to the process of appreciation influence control (AIC) for 2 days. Then the performance was followed
up based on Demming's work cycles in 4 stages : plan, do, check, and act (PDCA) for 12 weeks. Data were
collected before and after the experiment using a questionnaire on participation with a reliability of 0.98 and an
assessment form on healthy child care center of The Health Department. The statistics used for analyzing
collected data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, and paired t-test.
The results of the study revealed the following. Before the experiment both the experimental group
and the comparison group had participation in developing the child care centers as a whole and in each of the 5
aspects of the goal : seeking problems, planning, problem solving, reception of benefits, and assessment at a
low level. After the experiment the experimental group increased the participation mentioned at a high level
while the comparison group did not have a change. In addition, the experimental group had participation in
developing the child care center as a whole and in every aspect at a high level and higher than the comparison
group at the level of significance (p< 0.05) ; and the child care center that received development had the quality
that passed the standard requirements of the healthy child care center at a very good level.
In conclusion, the application of Demming's PDCA cycle program and the appreciation influence
control (AIC) planning could cause those involved in developing the child care center to increase their
participation, resulting in the child care center having quality to pass the standard requirements of healthy child
